Vegetable smoothies taste very good. First, you need to squeeze the juice from hard vegetables, and then mix it with soft ingredients – peeled tomatoes, pieces of pumpkin, avocado or melon, celery leaves, parsley. The cocktail with the addition of spinach, mint or sorrel has additionally refreshing properties.

The advantage of home-made juices is that you can “smuggle” vegetables that you don’t like or just don’t eat. To obtain a liter of juice, you need 1.5-2 kg of vegetables. If the juice is too thick, you can add mineral water. It is best to drink the juice immediately after preparation. But in a sealed container, it will last up to several hours in the fridge without losing its nutritional value.

Carrot juice


Carrots are the best source of beta-carotene. It provides vitamins from the B, C, PP, K group, also potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, cobalt, manganese. Good for the eyes, antibacterial, strengthens immunity, improves digestion. Due to its antispasmodic effect on coronary vessels. Carrot juice is recommended for people taking dehydrating drugs. Cocktail recipe: 1/2 kg of carrots, a head of romaine lettuce, fresh ginger.

Cabbage juice

Recipe for a cocktail with cabbage juice: 30 dags of any cabbage, root celery, 2 apples, 1/2 bunch of dill, salt.

Turnip juice


It contains a lot of vitamin C, a lot of PP, B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, and iodine. Sweet turnip juice is worth sipping during a cold, because it strengthens the body and relieves coughing. You can drill a hole, add sugar or honey, wait a few hours and pick with a spoon. Strengthens bones and prevents osteoporosis. Has a diuretic and choleretic effect. It tastes best when combined with other vegetables.

Recipe for a cocktail with turnip juice: 1/2 kg of turnip, 1/2 kg of carrot, a teaspoon of honey.

Tomato juice


A treasury of vitamin C, beta-carotene and vitamin E. Contains vitamin K, P, group B vitamins. Vitamin C facilitates the absorption of iron from food products, and vitamin P – the absorption of vitamin C. It provides a lot of potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, copper, zinc and fibre and as much as 53 per cent. water. Regulates metabolism, helps in thyroid, liver and gallbladder diseases. It inhibits the development of microorganisms, has antibiotic properties. It regenerates the skin and delays ageing.

Recipe for tomato cocktail: 1/2 kg of tomatoes, 1 medium apple, 2 stalks of celery, 1/2 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce, salt.

Pumpkin Juice


Rich in beta-carotene, vitamin E, PP, C, B vitamins, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, fibre and pectin. It helps to manage stress, strengthens the nervous system and improves liver function.

Recipe for a cocktail with pumpkin juice: 25 dag pumpkin, 25 dag carrot, large apple, 1/4 teaspoon chilli.

Beet juice


Rich in anthocyanins and flavonoids, magnesium, sodium, potassium, calcium. Has a hematopoietic effect, alleviates ailments associated with menopause, prevents cancer. Due to the right ratio of sodium and calcium, it is recommended for people with hypertension and cardiac arrhythmia.

Recipe for a cocktail with beetroot juice: 30 dags of beet, 20 dags of carrot, 2 oranges.

Lettuce juice


It contains beta-carotene (most of it in romaine lettuce ), vitamins C, E and D and B group, calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, manganese. It cleanses the body, stimulates digestion, relieves pain, calms down. Lowers blood sugar, improves liver function and blood circulation. Thanks to the content of phosphorus and sulfur, it has a beneficial effect on the skin, hair and tendons.

Recipe for a cocktail with lettuce juice: 4 leaves of Romaine lettuce, 30 dag carrots, a large apple, cucumber.

Celery juice


A valuable source of potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and vitamin C, beta-carotene, B vitamins. It strengthens the nervous system and calms down. Supports the treatment of stomach, bladder, rheumatism and obesity. Combined with garlic, it prevents and supports the treatment of atherosclerosis. Has a diuretic effect, prevents the formation of calcium crystals in the kidneys, regulates digestion.

Cocktail recipe with celery juice: 30 dag celery, 30 dag carrots, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 bunch of parsley, a teaspoon of honey.

Cucumber juice


Cucumbers contain 96-98 per cent. water and are low in vitamins. But they have a lot of potassium. They cleanse the body, accelerate metabolism. Thanks to substances lowering blood sugar, they support diabetes treatment. The potassium contained in them regulates blood pressure, strengthens hair and nails. The main disadvantage of cucumbers is the presence of a powerful enzyme that oxidizes vitamin C. However, due to their taste, they are added to carrot or beet juices.

Recipe for a cocktail with cucumber juice: 1/2 kg of cucumbers, 1/2 lemon, salt, pepper, fresh mint leaves.
